A shocking footage filmed at London Victoria Station shows images of passengers struggling to enter Victoria Station as flash floods are attacking the capital. Lots of travellers are seen seeking shelter in the station as unable to move around the capital.
The video came as the Met Office has issued an amber alert for thunderstorms and floods on Wednesday for most southern parts of England.
The warning, coming a few days after the heatwave which attacked the UK last week, runs from 11am to 10pm.
It concerns central, south and east London as well as Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Essex.
Together with the amber alert, another yellow warning for thunderstorms is now in force in the east and south coasts from Norwich to Plymouth.
Due to the current weather alert, services running on London to Ipswich and Norwich line were cancelled, resulting in heavy travel disruption.
Network Rail explained that as consequence of the heavy rain trains are unable to run between these two stations.
A Greater Anglia spokesperson said: “We are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption”.
Besides Victoria Station, Warren Street and Kentish Town are also seeing heavy rain, resulting in many struggling to move across the city.

In light of the warning, Met Office forecaster Dan Suri said: “Some communities likely to become cut off if roads flood.
"Power cuts likely to occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
“The change in weather regime will see the heat of the last few days slip away from the south and east, this will be increasingly replaced with more unsettled conditions with heavy showers, thunderstorms and torrential downpours being key hazards over the UK until Wednesday.
“Although not all places will be affected, where thunderstorms occur there is the potential for very large rainfall totals, but when that heavy rain is falling on extremely dry ground, the risk of flash flooding is much more pronounced."

The Met Office have advised people to take extra care as floods pose a “danger to life”.
Mr Suri also said: “With no meaningful rainfall in some southern locations since June, soils in these areas have become baked by the sun turning them into hard almost impenetrable surfaces.
“Any rainfall in these areas won’t be able to soak away and instead it will wash off soils and other hard surfaces, creating flash flooding in some areas”.
