Nestlé tests self-package cereal dispensing machines to cut disposable packaging | Vending Times

Nestlé has installed self-package cereal vending machines at a pair of retailers in Indonesia to encourage consumers to bring their own containers, according to a packagingeurope.com report.

The goal is to reduce disposable packaging. Liquid Filling Line Machine

Customers will be able to access product information at the machines including ingredients, nutritional value and shelf life by scanning a QR code.

Nestlé developed the machines in partnership with Qyos, an Indonesia vending manufacturer, and Algramo, a Chile-based sustainable solutions equipment provider.

The machines offer Nestle’s Milo and Koko Krunch cereals.
