Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? My travel ball team is as competitive and tight-knit as you can get. We are a family on and off the field. I have always played against Coach Steve (Jones) and when our paths aligned I knew it would be the perfect fit.

What do you bring to the team? Energy. I am very passionate about softball and I love to cheer my teammates on. I am always cheering in the dugout and I love to get everybody pumped up if it’s early, late or in the middle of the day.

What areas are you focusing on/trying to improve this fall? I’m really just looking to sharpen my craft. I want to fix little things in mechanics and gain some more velocity all while keeping the strengths I have now.

Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals this summer? PGF was a bit of a roller-coaster. Coming off a great season, we all wanted to get our last national championship together. We lost our first bracket game, but we fought as hard as we could. It was a great learning experience and definitely made me a better player.

Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? There isn’t one team in particular that was tougher than others. There were games that were tough, but I always think if we can bring our game, we can compete with anyone and it doesn’t matter who’s on the other side of the field.

Can you tell us about your Sept. 1 experience? My September 1st experience is everything I’ve heard it to be. Coaches do it all, call, text or email and it’s really crazy to finally be communicating with the people you see on the other side of the fence all year. My emotions were all over the place! I was super nervous, but also excited at the same time!

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I’m not sure yet. I am thinking of majoring in business, but I don’t know what I”ll do with it!

Who is your sports hero and why? I don’t really have a sports hero. There are multiple pitchers that I look up to, including Kelly Maxwell, because of the way they hold themselves on the mound and their pitching styles.

What’s the best hype song and why? The bet hype song is definitely “WOP” (by J. Dash feat. FloRida). If you ask my teammates they will tell you we listened to it at least two times before every game! It’s such an easy song to dance and play around to before a game to loosen up your body and get some nerves out. (LOL)

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Grey’s Anatomy” is my favorite TV show to binge. I could rewatch it 100 times and still love it!
